Giant panorama of Innsbruck

The legendary battle of Tyrolean freedom fighter Andreas Hofer reached its climax in 1809. The famous panorama of Innsbruck – a giant circular painting – documents this historic event. Measuring 10 metres in height, it has a circumference of 100 m.

Ambras Castle

Visible from afar, Ambras Castle sits majestically around 100 m above the Inn, built on a shale cliff. The castle is one of Innsbruck’s most important sights, and offers visitors a painting gallery, an armoury and a chamber full of art and curiosities.
