Leisure & tips in Seefeld and Tyrol

A bit of variety is necessary on vacation. That’s why we’ve compiled a few tips for enjoying Tyrol.

Hiking / Cabins

The best way to explore an area is on foot. There are numerous hiking trails and cabins in the Seefeld Olympia region, all inviting you to discover the mountain world of the Alps.

Excursion tips

Regardless of whether you want to inject a little variety into your family holiday, or get to know Austria's history and culture - you're bound to find something interesting to discover. Stams priory, Tratzberg Castle, Innsbruck Alpine Zoo and the Hall mint are just a few of the excursion destinations easily reached from Seefeld.

Culture tips

What about an evening in the Innsbruck state theatre, redolent of history? Or perhaps you’d prefer to visit the Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens? Take a look here to find out about exhibitions and performances.

Cities

A vacation in the Seefeld Olympic region is also the perfect jumping-off point for journeys of discovery. Our central location facilitates quick access to Europe's most famous cities. If you want to take it in easy stages at the beginning, why not start with the Tyrolean state capital, Innsbruck? Innsbruck’s coffee houses are just as traditional as those in Vienna. And if you’re visiting us in January, be sure to take in the Vierschanzen skiing tournament. A little further away, in Upper Austria, you’ll find Salzburg, Mozart’s birthplace and home to a splendid castle as well as the annual Salzburg Festival. From there, you may want to take a trip to the famous Mondsee lake. Those with more international aspirations can just drive around the Alpine belt to Italy and discover one of the world’s most famous cities - Venice, the city of gondolas.

Region & events

You'll find that Seefeld and its surroundings has quite a lot to offer if you want to get to know Tyrolean traditions and homey hospitality. Examples include the famous Advent market or the ‘Blumencorso’ in Seefeld’s beautiful pedestrian zone.

Shopping in Seefeld

There are numerous shopping opportunities in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The Albrecht department store, with an extensive selection of fashion lines as well as casual leisurewear, is right next to the hotel. There, you will also find a food hall, a bakery and, of course, a newsagent and tobacconist. Have fun shopping!
