Cities A vacation in the Seefeld Olympic region is also the perfect jumping-off point for journeys of discovery. Our central location facilitates quick access to Europe's most famous cities. If you want to take it in easy stages at the beginning, why not start with the Tyrolean state capital, Innsbruck? Innsbruck’s coffee houses are just as traditional as those in Vienna. And if you’re visiting us in January, be sure to take in the Vierschanzen skiing tournament. A little further away, in Upper Austria, you’ll find Salzburg, Mozart’s birthplace and home to a splendid castle as well as the annual Salzburg Festival. From there, you may want to take a trip to the famous Mondsee lake. Those with more international aspirations can just drive around the Alpine belt to Italy and discover one of the world’s most famous cities - Venice, the city of gondolas.
